How we evaluate your old pattu saree?
There is no fixed price list for an old pattu saree, and anyone who quotes one over the phone is guessing. Our experts assess each saree openly, in front of you, explain plainly what they are seeing, and then offer a figure — so you receive the best possible value with nothing hidden.

The silver is drawn out and none of it is ever resold as a saree again.
The value is in the zari, not the age
A pattu saree’s border and pallu are woven with zari, silver thread gilded in gold. That thread keeps its worth long after the silk has faded, so a torn saree from decades ago can be worth more than a newer one that only looks better. We check the zari, weigh the saree in front of you, and quote against the day’s metal rate. No commission is taken out, and the weight you see is the weight you are paid for.

Questions we hear often
Will you buy a torn or very old saree?
Yes. The condition of the silk matters far less than the zari in the border and pallu. Sarees that are torn, stained, faded or already cut are bought at the same rate as whole ones.
How is the price decided?
We weigh the saree on a digital scale in front of you and quote against the day’s live silver and gold rate, based on the zari content. No commission is deducted, and the weight you see is the weight you are paid for.
Do I have to travel anywhere?
No. We come to your home anywhere in Chennai and the nearby towns. The valuation, the weighing and the payment all happen at your door.
How am I paid?
In full, in cash, the moment you agree to the rate. Nothing is held back, and there is no waiting for a transfer.
How many sarees do you take at once?
One or a hundred. For a single saree we come just as gladly as for a whole family collection, and every piece is weighed and quoted on its own.
